Vision Correction at TRES VISION GROUP
Dr. Trespalacios employs advanced technology for customized eye care treatment. TRES VISION GROUP is equipped with the latest wavefront and excimer laser technology to deliver personally tailored vision correction results.
Before starting LASIK surgery, Dr. Trespalacios utilizes wavefront imaging technology to diagnose each eye’s imperfections, including nearly imperceptible refractive errors known as “higher-order aberrations.” The ophthalmologist then uses this diagnostic information to calibrate the excimer laser that he will use during the LASIK procedure to re-contour the curvature of the cornea.
Dr. Trespalacios administers topical anesthetic eye drops to ensure that the patient is comfortable throughout the procedure. To start LASIK surgery, he uses an Intralase laser to create a small flap in the cornea. He carefully pulls back the flap to reveal the corneal tissue below. The ophthalmologist then uses the adjusted excimer laser to re-contour the cornea, remedying the refractive error causing farsightedness, nearsightedness and/or astigmatism. When Dr. Trespalacios is satisfied with the newly contoured cornea, he replaces the corneal flap back in its initial position, where it will naturally re-seal itself to the eye without any need for sutures.
Dr. Trespalacios’s LASIK patients are happy to discover that LASIK surgery is not painful. They generally notice an improvement in vision within one to two days after surgery. Many times, LASIK patients no longer need to depend on prescription eyewear to see clearly after surgery. In addition, about 99 percent of LASIK patients achieve 20/20 vision or better following the procedure.
