More About Vision Correction at Durrie Vision
Durrie Vision provides highly individualized, specialized vision correction using the latest technologies, including the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q laser with PerfectPulse wavefront technology, and the Ziemer and Intralase femtosecond lasers for advanced, all-laser LASIK. Durrie Vision specializes in sub-Bowman’s keratomileusis (SBK), an all-laser surgery that allows for the utmost precision. When performing the procedure, the surgeons use wavefront technology to create an individualized map of the eye. This process allows precise measurement that permits surgeons to correct vision beyond the benefits afforded by standard LASIK, including a reduction of nighttime halos and glare in some patients. The doctors then create a flap in the cornea. By using a femtosecond laser rather than a blade to create the flap, the surgeons are able to make a thinner, more precise flap, cutting less fibers resulting in less dry eye, glare and halos. Once the corneal flap is created, the surgeons use the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q laser with PerfectPulse technology to correct the cornea’s flaws before restoring the flap to its original position.
